Lessons & Pricing

Single private drum lessons are $40 per session. We also offer a monthly subscription of 4 lessons for $140, which saves you $20 per month. All lessons are one-on-one and tailored to your skill level and goals.

For most students, weekly lessons produce the best results. Consistent instruction keeps you accountable and builds skills faster than occasional sessions. That's why we offer a monthly subscription of 4 weekly lessons for $140, which gives you a better rate than booking single sessions. Between lessons, we provide practice plans so you know exactly what to work on.

Book directly on our booking page — pick a date, choose a time, and pay securely online. You can also email us at [email protected] if you have questions or need help choosing the right option.

Getting Started

We teach drummers of all ages — kids, teens, and adults. Whether you're 8 or 80, if you want to learn drums, we'll meet you where you are. Lessons are adapted to each student's age, attention span, and goals.

No, you don't need a full drum kit to start. You can begin with just a practice pad and sticks, which costs about $25 to $30. We'll work on technique, rudiments, and reading from day one. When you're ready for a full kit, we offer professional drum kit setup and tuning services to get you started right.

Your first lesson is all about getting to know you as a player. We'll talk about your musical interests, your goals, and where you are right now — whether that's your very first time holding sticks or you've been playing for years. From there, we build a personalized lesson plan. Bring your sticks and a practice pad if you have one, but don't stress if you don't — we'll figure it out together.

Yes! We offer a free downloadable guide called “5 Warm-Ups to Build Better Hands” — five exercises designed to build hand speed, control, and consistency. It's a great way to start building a daily practice routine, even before your first lesson.

What We Teach

We teach both drum set and classical percussion. On the kit, lessons cover rock, pop, gospel, funk, jazz, Latin, and more — including stick technique, rudiments, chart reading, groove development, and song application. For classically trained percussionists, we offer instruction across all percussion instruments including snare drum, mallet percussion such as marimba and vibraphone, timpani, and auxiliary percussion. Our approach is rooted in solid fundamentals that translate across any style or setting.

Instructor Dashon Moore-Guidry brings over 15 years of performance and teaching experience. His background includes 1st Chair Texas All-State Band, the UT Austin Percussion Studio, touring Europe with the Dr. Brian West Percussion Ensemble, and over 10 years of experience as a worship drummer. He holds a BA in Music Production from UT Austin and previously taught private percussion and served as drum tech and instructor for competitive high school bands.
